Sanguera Primary School

​We bless God's name for all He is doing through our lives here in Togo. Several months ago, some parents and even a teacher in our area approached us about establishing a primary school so their children can access an education that is not only convenient but also reputable. After much prayer, counsel, and reflection, we decided to open the door to this new opportunity. Investing in education is investing in society. We believe the school will have a positive impact not only on MEDiC's presence in the community, but also on our ministry. We are excited to announce that we have received official approval to open the school for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. The name of the school is “La Houlette,” meaning “the staff or the crook” in reference to Psalm 23.

Furnishings and equipment

The following items are still needed:

• 5Chalkboards - $100 each
• 100 Student desks - $60 each
• 6 Teacher desks/chairs - $150 each
• 40 kindergarten tables-$15 each
• 40 kindergarten chairs - $20 each
• 3 admin office desks/chairs - $350 each
• Computer & Monitor - $1,500
• Color Printer/Copier/Scanner- $1,000

Building and Fixtures

Canteen

The Canteen for the 1st-3rd grade classes needs to be completed. The walls need to be plastered and painted, the floor tiled, and the roof installed. An estimated $4,500 is needed to finish.

Awning

A metal awning the length of the wall will be installed on the lower level to provide shade for 4th-6th graders during their lunchtime. An estimated $1,800 is needed to construct it.
